Bajuin Waterfall, Pelaihari, South Kalimantan. Bajuin waterfall is located in the Meratus mountain slopes. It's located in the Sei Bakar village, Kabupaten Pelaihari, Tanah Laut, South Kalimantan.

Not far from the waterfall, there is Goa Marmer that can be reached approximately ± 30 minutes by walking. This Goa is unique because there are many marble tiles that is usually used for home and forming the cave like a dome of the mosque. In the cave also contained the nocturnal life of bats.

In this region there are 4 pieces waterfall with different heights. Waterfall I (nearest) is 25 meters, waterfall II is 17 meter, III (37 meters), and IV (18 meters).

To reach Bajuin waterfall is approximately ± 10 km from the Pelaihari city (2.5 hours travel time), or about 75 km from the Banjarmasin city. The road to the waterfall is paved (until Sei Bakar village) and there are also walking trails. Along the way there are lots of big hills like a mountain. The green color looks beautiful combined with yellowing of the surrounding rice fields.

From the Banjarmasin city, before entering the Pelaihari City, Swan Round will be found. Take the road to the left and go straight until the 3 intersections. Furthermore, take the straight path (every junction there are board instructions) to the Sei Bakar village.

Right before entering the Bajuin waterfall region , there are 2 intersections. The left to the Bajuin waterfall and the right onto Goa Marmer.

From the gate continue walking up through the existing stairs to arrive at the waterfall. Traveling time is approximately 39 minutes.

The available facilities include parking area and the ticket office.

Tomb Complex of Sultan Suriansyah , South Kalimantan. The tomb complex of Sultan Suriansyah is a tomb complex located in Kelurahan Kuin Utara, Kecamatan Banjarmasin Utara, Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan.

Sultan Suriansyah was the first king of the Kingdom of Banjar who believed in Islam. As a boy his name was Raden Samudera, after appointed as the king his name became Prince Samudera and after believing in Islam his name became Sultan Suriansyah. The other titles were Panembahan or Susuhunan Batu Habang.

The feasibility studies in order of restoration of tomb complex of Sultan Suriansyah carried out by a team led by Drs. Machi Suhadi with the cost from Restoration and Maintenance Project of the Heritage and Archaeology of South Kalimantan 1982/1983.

The restoration of the site began in 1984/1985. The main target is to restore the ancient tombs and rechecking brick foundation.

The ancient tomb restoration activities consist of: strengthening the bottom of the fence with a carton of concrete, cleaning and adjusting the grave headstone, strengthening and smoothing marble tomb, repairing the damage of carved and painted tombs such as restoring the original color.

Rechecking activities reveal the presence of two groups of bricks / embankment with a different color. Group of red embankment with a safety net for the stability of the tomb of Sultan Suriansyah and The Queen, Khatib Dayan's tomb, Patih Masih's tomb, Patih Kuin's tomb, the tomb of king's hulubalang and others. This group of embankment was found on the west with the size of 17 x 17 meters.

Groups of white embankment with a safety net for the stability of the grave and the Tomb of Sultan Rahmatullah and Sultan Hidayatullah. These groups of embankments are located in the east with a size of 17 x 17 meters. On the eastern south was found the arrangement of white embankment with ornate / engraving.

The restoration of the site in 1985/1986 are focused on embankment realignment and build a new cupola replaced the old one which was build in 1985.

Sultan Suriansyah Mosque (Masjid Sultan Suriansyah) or Kuin Mosque is a historic mosque in Banjarmasin City which is the oldest mosque in South Kalimantan. This mosque was built during the reign of Sultan Suriansyah (1526-1550), King of Banjar who firstly believed in Islam.

Kuin Mosque is one of the three oldest mosques in Banjarmasin City in the era of the Mufti Jamaluddin (Banjarmasin Mufti), the another mosques are Masjid Besar (Masjid Jami Banjarmasin in the future) and Basirih Mosque. This mosque is located in Kelurahan Kuin Utara, the area known as Banjar Lama which is the site of the capital of the Sultanate of Banjar in the first time. The mosque is located adjacent to the tomb complex of Sultan Suriansyah and on the left bank of the Kuin River.

Natural conditions of the island is quite critical because of the felling of trees, especially rambai padi trees which is a source of food for the Bekantan / proboscis monkey (Nasalis larvatus). Bekantan is the mascot fauna of South Kalimantan province.

In this forests there is an altar dedicated as a place to put the offering for "guard" of Kembang Island which is represented by two statues of white monkeys (Hanuman) by the community of Chinese-Indonesian ethnic who has a particular vow. One male goat with a gilded horns is usually released into the jungle of Kembang Island if a request was successful or fulfilled.

Lok Baintan Floating Market is a traditional floating market located in the village of Sungai Pinang (Lok Baintan), Tabuk River district, Banjar. In general, Lok Baintan Floating Market is not different than Floating Market in the Muara Kuin River / Barito River. Both are traditional markets in the boats that sell a variety of merchandise, such as the production of agricultural / plantation and lasted not very long, the longest about three to four hours. The market has been floating around since the days of the Sultanate of Banjar.

Along the coast of The Martapura Lokbaintan river is looked boat convoy to the location of the floating market. The boat is owned by traders and farmers who will market their crops. They come from a variety of branch Martapura River, such as Lenge River, Bakung River , Paku Alam River, Bunut Saka River, Madang River, Tanifah River, and Lok Baintan River.

To get to the floating market of Lok Baintan from the city center can be reached by the two alternatives. The first alternative go along the edge of Martapura river by using klotok, a type of motorized sampan. With klotok, traveling from downtown to the floating market fairly quickly because it takes 30 minutes. The second alternative to the use of land vehicles such as cars. However, for the second alternative which takes an hour longer to reach the floating market. That is because the field trips that tend to be heavy and tortuous.

What is interesting from the floating market is a system of exchange of goods. At the floating market is not making money as a major transaction. Generally, the merchandise to be bartered is crops of vegetables and fruits. Magnitude and the number of balance results between the two sides depend of barter agreement . If they agree, then each will get the items as you wish and then used for personal purposes at home.

The sun rises in the reflected light between the transaction and the vegetable gardens of the villages along the Barito river and its tributaries.

Boating women traders who sell their products themselves or the neighboring called dukuh, while the second hand purchase from the dukuh for resale called panyambangan. The interesting of this market is still common to found a barter transactions among the boating traders, which is in a Banjar language called bapanduk.
